BaseKit Reviews

Opening to the public in 2010, BaseKit has fast become a very popular service for building your own website.

Their current system is geared slightly more towards designers as one of their excellent features is importing Photoshop PSD’s directly into their system.

BaseKit offer one of the easiest ways to create, host and manage a website with no technical expertise, install or download required.

One of the excellent features of BaseKit is you can upload your own photoshop designs, which is excellent if you’re a designer! Or you can always choose from one of 100+ professionally designed themes and add functionality on the way, through simple drag and drop.

A bonus of using BaseKit is they offer a free 14 day trial of their system.

We found BaseKit provided a good service and we’d love to hear about your experiences using BaseKit. Please spare 2 minutes and leave your review of the service below to help others.

Our conclusion:

Overall a good solid system that can create some lovely looking websites. It is geared more towards designers and those who have Photoshop or website design experience, but don’t let that put you off.

  1. The most advanced feature Basekit has is its template creation software. Templates are basically layered images, created on PhotoShop and then converted into a website. This is great for those of us with PhotoShop skills as you can convert your PSD files into a website for free! For £6 this is a bargain as you’d pay a lot more for this process elsewhere.

  2. I as a web designer am very fond of BaseKit for the flexibility it offers me for design customisation over all other website builders – A lot more flexible than others I’ve tried

  3. The system is well documented and we also found the Live Chat Support especially useful. The BaseKit team seems to place particular importance on excellent support, something we very much endorse.
